The Willson Award & the STAR Grant
Through the Willson Award and the STAR Grant, teachers at St. Anne’s School have the opportunity to expand their horizons through research, learning and discovery.

The Willson Award provides up to $5000 toward professional development for faculty members to support interests that otherwise might be difficult to pursue through traditional schooling or professional development activities. The award is named in honor of Dr. and Mrs. James K. Willson, grandparents of St. Anne’s School alumni Erik and Christian Ostberg.

The STAR Grant encourages and supports faculty research on campus during the summer months. STAR Grant recipients collaborate each summer to develop, extend, enrich and revise one area of the St. Anne’s School curriculum. The grant, established by Whitney and Jeanette Evans in 2004, has allowed teachers to share and expand their expertise and resulted in continual enhancement of the school’s educational programs and processes.
