Student Leaders Invited to National Cathedral
Fourth and Eighth Grade Leaders will represent St. Anne’s School of Annapolis on a visit to the National Cathedral for a celebratory worship service as part of an annual Episcopal Schools Celebration. The Episcopal Schools Celebration occurs each October and celebrates the ministry of the nearly 1,200 Episcopal schools and early childhood education programs throughout the Episcopal Church nationwide. This service, developed through the Mid-Atlantic Episcopal School Association (MAESA), at Washington National Cathedral offers the opportunity for nearly 1,000 students of all ages to be together as members of Episcopal schools in this magnificent worship environment and provides an opportunity to offer to God our thanksgiving for all the blessings of this experience. A procession of school banners along with specially selected readings and hymns are highlights of this event. The Reverend Daniel Heischman, Executive Director, National Association of Episcopal Schools, will offer the homily at the chapel.
