Mark Your Calendar for Start of School Events


Wednesday, August 1:

  • Used Textbook Sale, 8:30 - 10 a.m. & 2 - 3 p.m.: Middle School parents are invited visit the Parents Association's Used Textbook Sale to purchase required textbooks for the upcoming year. You may also drop off any used textbooks that you would like to donate at this time. Parents may also order textbooks at the MBS Online Book Store directly. St. Anne's School families will receive complimentary shipping until August 5.
  • Used Uniform Sale, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.: All families are invited to shop the Parents Association's Used Uniform Sale! Stop by any time during school hours to browse our collection of gently worn uniform items.

Wednesday, August 22:

  • New Parent Orientation, Middle School - 8 a.m., Lower School - 9:15 a.m., Early Childhood - 10:30 a.m.: New families are invited to attend this informative orientation session. With our Head of School Lisa Nagel and your division's Program Director, we will guide you through the ins and outs of our program as well as answer any questions you may have about beginning the school year. While your child's attendance is not mandatory at orientation, we understand that some families may need to bring their children with them.
  • Used Uniform Sale, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Thursday, August 23:

  • Fifth Grade Bridge Day, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Fifth Grade Bridge Day is an opportunity for parents and students to learn more about the transitioning to the Middle School at St. Anne's School. Parents will partake in an informational session while students will get the chance to meet their teachers, find their lockers, and learn more about the ins and outs of Middle School.

Friday, August 24:

  • New Parent Reception, 6:30 - 9 p.m. Each year our Parents Association Welcome Committee hosts a New Parent Reception to welcome the newest members of our community. This year's reception will be held at the home of Board of Trustees member Debbie Larsson. More information will follow in a formal invitation.

Monday, August 27:

  • Lower and Middle School New Student Reception, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.: New Kindergarten through Eighth Grade students are invited to attend a special new student reception to meet our Head of School and Program Directors, along with current students from each grade.
  • Lower and Middle School Family Drop In Day, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Families of new and current students are invited to "drop in" and visit their new classroom and teacher before the start of school.

Tuesday, August 28:

  • Lower and Middle School First Day of School, Formal Uniform Required, Lower and Middle School Before and After Care begins
  • Parent Fair, 8 a.m.: All parents, Early Childhood, Lower and Middle School, are invited to visit our Parent Fair in our Multi Purpose Room on this day. Parents Association representatives will have tables set up with information about volunteer opportunities, school lunches, our annual auction, and much more! We will also have information about transportation, athletics and our extended care program. Coffee and light breakfast refreshments will be provided.
  • Opening Chapel, 9:30 a.m.: All families are invited to join us for this start of school tradition at St. Anne's School.
  • Early Childhood Family Drop In Day, 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: Even though our Preschool and Prekindergarten classes don't begin until Wednesday, we don't want our EC families to miss out on our exciting first day of school activities! Preschool and Prekindergarten families are invited to attend our Parent Fair at 8 a.m. and Opening Chapel at 9:30 a.m., as well as visit their new classroom and teacher before the start of school. For new families, this a great way to learn more about our school!

Wednesday, August 29:

  • Early Childhood Gradual Opening: Preschool and Prekindergarten students begin their individual gradual opening schedules. Your child's gradual opening schedule will be mailed to you in August.

Thursday, August 30:

  • Early Childhood Gradual Opening: Preschool and Prekindergarten students continue their individual gradual opening schedules. Your child's gradual opening schedule will be mailed to you in August.

Friday, August 31:

  • First Full Day for Preschool and Prekindergarten students, Before Care begins for registered Early Childhood students

Monday, September 3:

  • School Closed, Labor Day

Tuesday, September 4:

  • AEP and After Care begins for registered Early Childhood students: Our Afternoon Enrichment Program (AEP) for Preschool and Prekindergarten students begins, which runs from 12 - 3:10 p.m. After Care also begins for registered Preschool and Prekindergarten students from 3:10 - 6 p.m.

Thursday, September 6:

  • Middle School Back to School Night, 7 p.m.: This is a "parents only" evening. Please plan to attend and learn about all aspects of Middle School life and learning this year.

Friday, September 7:

  • Middle School Leadership Field Trips: Each year our Middle School students start the school year off with a trip that teaches them teamwork, collaboration and leadership. More details will be provided when school begins. (Depending on grade level, Middle School students will go on their Leadership Field Trip on September 7 or September 14.)
  • First Grade Parents Night Out, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.: Last year our Kindergarten families achieved 100% participation in our Annual Fund. To say thank you, St. Anne's School is providing our rising First Grade families with a Parents Night Out. Families are invited to drop their students off at St. Anne's School for a night of movies and fun, while they enjoy a night out the town or quiet time at home.

Thursday, September 13:

  • Early Childhood and Lower School Back to School Night, 7 p.m.: This is a "parents only" evening. Please plan to attend and learn about all aspects of our Early Childhood and Lower School program.

Friday, September 14:
