Meet the After Care Music Instructors

Richard Estrin
Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Recorder, Tin Whistle, Accordion, Harmonica
Ages: 5-Adult
Richard Estrin was the principal soloist and concert master with the prestigious Naval Academy Band in Annapolis for 22 years. He has played musical theaters throughout Washington and Baltimore, including the Kennedy Center, National Theater, Mechanic Theater, Lyric Theater and Summer Garden Theater. Richard has also played with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leon Fliesher. He attended Manhattan School of Music in NYC and graduated from the Navy School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia.

Flo Keeney
Ages: 9-Adult
Flo Keeney has been teaching piano for many years in the Annapolis area and at St. Anne's School. Flo specializes in teaching Middle School aged children and she also teaches adults.

Stephanie E. Lichtman-Price
Ages: 5-Adult
Classically trained in voice and piano, Stephanie Lichtman-Price has been a professional performing musician since the age of 16. For more than 20 years she has been teaching private piano lessons in both Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties to students ranging in ages from 5 to 65 years, beginner through advanced. Stephanie enjoys working one-on-one with her students, which allows her to get to know them and more effectively teach them in the way that they will best learn and experience the piano.

John Haggerty
Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello
Grade Level: Preschool - Eighth Grade
John Haggerty is an energetic and enthusiastic musician with over 10 years of teaching experience. He began studying the violin at age 8, and became interested in music composition in his teenage years. John's interest in composition led him to study multiple instruments, now specializing in violin, viola, cello and piano. John received his B.M. in Jazz-Commercial Music Composition from Towson University in 2012. In 2015, he received his M.A. in Music Composition, and an M.A. in Music Theory Pedagogy at Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. John has studied with many prestigious performers and pedagogues including Jeffrey Howard, Cecylia Barczyk, Michael Hersch, Jonathon Leshnoff, Eva Mengelkoch, and Kip Wile. John has experience teaching both privately and in group settings to students of all ages with diverse backgrounds. As a passionate pedagogue, he believes that music has the power to change lives for the better. John is committed to fostering students’ skills and musical knowledge in an enjoyable and exciting learning environment.
