our first grade program
Spanish
First grade Spanish meets twice a week for 30 minutes. This year builds on the previous year’s exposure to whole language through storytelling, songs, rhymes, movement and games. The class participates in hands-on projects to internalize vocabulary, grammatical structures and linguistic patterns. Daily calendar will introduce days of the week, months, seasons and weather. Hispanic culture, vocabulary and songs are taught in conjunction with the season, a holiday or other event with which our students can identify.
