the prekindergarten program
Science Lab
Building on the young child’s natural curiosity and excitement about the world, science study is central to every Prekindergartener’s daily experience. Classroom teachers weave observation into natural explorations that arise in the classroom as well as into planned classroom projects and interest areas. The science teacher serves as a resource to guide curriculum development in the room. In addition, Prekindergarteners attend our fully equipped science lab once a week for 30 minutes for instruction led by our Early Childhood and Lower School science teacher.
