Religion
The Third Grade journeys through the liturgical church year, providing structure to learn the church seasons (Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost) and to read seasonal representative stories. Come Worship with Me, a Journey Through the Church Year by Ruth Boling is used to introduce the church seasons with students making their own calendar. Students also focus on personal interactions and implications in the stories we read including exploring how we treat one another in Eleanor Estes’ book, One Hundred Dresses.
