Camp FAQs

What should my child bring to eat?
Please pack lunches that do not require refrigeration. There will be peanut free tables designated for children with peanut allergies.

Campers should pack a lunch that does not require refrigeration.

Campers will be given lockers at the beginning of each week.
Your camper should wear gym sneakers to camp each day. Campers should also be dressed in clothing that can and will get dirty. On swim days your camper should come to camp dressed in their bathing suit. They should also have a towel and beach shoe with them. Please apply sunscreen to your campers before he/she leaves for camp in the morning. If you want the sunscreen reapplied later in the day by the counselor, you must let the counselor know in writing.

What is the drop‐off routine?

  • Before Care: Parents will park and bring their child to the Multi‐purpose room for sign‐in.
  • Starfish/Starfish Plus/Starfish Plus All‐Day: Parents will park and bring their child to the appropriate room for sign‐in. Please check signs at the main entrance for room assignments. Camp begins at 9:00, if you arrive before 9:00 please bring your child to the multi‐purpose room for before‐care.
  • Privateers: Parents will park and bring their child to the appropriate room for sign‐in. Please check signs at the main entrance for room assignments.
  • Explorers: Parents should park on Monday and walk their child in to the multi‐purpose room for sign‐in. Tuesday through Friday parents may drop‐off or walk their child in to the multi‐purpose room.
  • Engineering Camps: Parents will park and bring their child to the appropriate room for sign‐in. Please check signs at the main entrance for room assignments. Camp begins at 9:00, if you arrive before 9:00 please bring your child to the multi‐purpose room for before‐care.

What is the pick‐up routine?

  • After Care: Parents will park and pick‐up their child from the Multi‐purpose room for sign‐out.

What should I do if my child is leaving early?
Please go to the main office and let the front office staff know, the front office staff will call for counselors to send the child to the front office for dismissal.

What should I do if we are arriving late?
Please go to the main office and let the front office staff know, the front office staff will notify counselors.

What should you I do if someone other than myself is picking up my child?
If the person picking your child up is not on the emergency form, please write a note for your child’s counselor indicating who will be picking them up. When the individual arrives to pick up your child they will need to show identification. If the counselor does not recognize the person picking up your child, they may be asked to show identification even if they are on the emergency form.

What safety routines have been established to assure a safe environment for my child?
Pool Safety:
There is a lifeguard at the pool. Counselors are placed strategically around the pool for observation. Unless campers pass a swim test given by the lifeguard, they will stay in the shallow end. Campers may use life jackets, but not blow‐up floatation inter‐tubes or “swimmies."

We have a fire emergency plan approved by the fire marshal.

What do I do and who do I need to contact if I need to cancel or add weeks of enrollment?

What is your refund policy for cancelled and switched registrations?
Refunds, minus your deposit, will be made if cancellations or week switches occur two weeks prior to the start of cancelled weeks. Refunds will not be given after the two week point, but the balance can be applied to another week.

How will I be billed?
You will receive a notice bi‐weekly by mail. You may pay your balance by check or by credit card in the front office.

When is payment due?
Billing due date will be indicated on bi‐weekly bill.

Where will campers be swimming?
Campers will swim at Fishing Creek Farm Pool. This is a community pool.
