Extended Care Programs
The Extended Care Program meets the needs of students and families beyond official school hours with a program that seamlessly connects with the academic day of the Early Childhood, Lower School and Middle School. Through Eighth Grade, parents can be assured that their children have a safe, consistent, nurturing recreational environment before and after school.
Our Extended Care Program is dedicated to providing a safe and accepting environment where students can learn, play, explore and have time to socialize with their peers. Our primary objectives are to support the St. Anne’s School mission, extend the excellence of the academic day, emphasize the teaching of social skills and reinforce the school’s core values of honesty, kindness, responsibility and respect.
Our Extended Care staff offers quality care in small, age-appropriate groups, varied recreational activities, snack time, and well-supervised, unstructured free play as well as time to start homework. The Extended Care staff is wholly committed to both the students and spirit of St. Anne’s School. Their enthusiasm and dedication show in the creative activities they devise and the close relationships they form with students and parents over the years. The program is designed to help simplify working parents’ lives and offers students who require child care the opportunity to spend fun and constructive time on our campus playing and learning with friends.
The Extended Care Program is staffed by trained professionals who strive to make the after school hours safe, enriching and productive. The Extended Care Director manages a staff teachers who work directly with the children. Our teachers receive Responsive Classroom training, which creates a positive transition from the school day to after school care.
Before school care opens at 7:15 a.m. and after school care closes at 6:00 p.m. The Early Childhood Afternoon Enrichment Program is offered from noon to 3:10 p.m. If your child is staying for athletics, Enrich Annapolis classes, or music lessons, they will be picked up and returned to after school care at the end of their practice, class or lesson.
